We’re all really happy today because we’ve found some great deals in store!

Throughout the afternoon, Michelle and I will post some photos for you all to see of our super clothes and gifts.

George teaches volunteers Yoga in our "Yarden"...

After a long morning of making our "Yarden" look amazing, George relaxed by doing a bit of Yoga... We do like to have a little bit of a rest in the shop... it's not all hard work!

I'll try and get some more photos of "George's Yoga Class"... I'm sure he won't mind... he will actually!

Books!

Reading is easy with Oxfam.

At Oxfam Shop Darlington we have hundereds of books, I should know, I helped to price some... there's a book for everyone in our department, so why not get yourself down to have a look... All of the books are very neat thanks to Robbie.

Volunteering @ Oxfam Shop Darlington

Looking for something fun, rewarding, and fulfilling to do this summer?

Well, if you're aged 14+, why not volunteer for Oxfam? You have nothing to loose when you volunteer, and you know that even if you only work for a day a week, you're still doing good all over the world.

Volunteering at Oxfam is the best thing I've done in a while; I've met lots of friends, met some new customers, and helped a few customers too! Meeting Hannah, and Rachel, the managers of the shop has been great because they're there to support you and train you to do everything along your volunteering journey... not forgetting Jenny; she's just as awesome!

If you want to get a paid job later on after volunteering, employers will favour you over other candidates when you have experience on your CV, and that they can see you care about the world around you.

Everything is easy when you get to grips with it; Till training is the scary part, but it's simple after an hour or so! The thing I hate the most is steaming, simply because when I first did it, the machine ran out of water, and it started making noises... I thought I'd broken the machine!

If you'd like to volunteer at Oxfam Shop Darlington, please come and see the friendly face on the till, they'll be happy to give you a form, and get you're volunteer experience going!
